What is the Breathing Basics Workshop?

This amazing workshop will be the introduction to your journey towards more functional and effective natural breathing. I can understand your hesitation – breathing is something you have been doing your whole life, so how can you be doing it wrong? Well, there are a lot of factors that can cause your breathing to go off track, so let’s work together to get it back to where it should be.
People of today actually breathe faster than our ancestors ever did. This has led to a rise in many breathing related conditions like asthma, hayfever, insomnia, snoring, stress and anxiety. By restoring healthy, functional day-to-day breathing, you may reduce the symptoms of any breathing related health conditions and get your body functioning more effectively. Once you are operating at optimal health, then the sky is the limit on what you can achieve in all areas of your life.

What Is Involved In The Workshop?

This a small to medium-sized group workshop that gives an overview of natural, functional breathing and how to recognise if you have breathing dysfunction or hyperventilation. It includes a quick breathing assessment that will help you gauge where your breathing is at and how much improvement it needs. We also cover breathing basics and lifestyle recommendations to promote functional breathing. You will learn a few easily and immediately implementable tips to get you started on shifting your breathing to natural, functional breathing. The following are different topics that may be the point of focus:

  • Asthma, Hayfever, and Allergies
  • Insomnia, Snoring, and Sleep Apnoea
  • Anxiety, Panic Attacks, and Depression
  • Stress Management
  • Peak Performance in Fitness and in Sports
  • Breathing for Public Speaking and Singing
  • Mouth Breathing Prevention

Afterwards, you will be able to recognise if your condition needs further support, more comprehensive breathing retraining and how The Breathe Clinic can help you with this.

About your presenter – Dina Ceniza

Dina is a Breathing Coach and certified Buteyko Practitioner who specializes in working with people who have Sleep problems.

She struggled with insomnia and the resulting fatigue and exhaustion. She struggled through her days, before finding a healthy, natural approach that finally helped her to get a deeper more restful sleep.

Dina is excited to share some tips on how you can start shifting your breathing to healthy, natural breathing to help you get the quality sleep that you need!

For workplaces or practitioners

Dina is available to run the Breathing Basics Workshop at your workplace or conference for free. She works with dentists, orthodontists, doctors, chiropractors, naturopaths, and other health practitioners who recognise the importance of healthy breathing.  The focus may be tailored to the group.
